He was not a law officer, but Big Bill Longley was often confronted with situations in which he might as well have been. In the years following the Civil War he made a name for himself throughout the state of Texas. He was a fast gun, a loyal and devoted friend, and a mortal enemy to those who broke the law or harassed the people whom he felt close to. As he traveled from town to town he helped those in need and found adventure, danger, and even an occasional romance.
ABC aired reruns of The Texan in its weekday daytime lineup from October 1960 to March 1962 and its Saturday morning lineup from February to May 1962. |
