Climax was one of the longer-running dramatic series by William Lundigan, who was joined by permanent co-host Mary Costa in the summer of 1956, each week it presented a one-hour drama originating from CBS' facilities in Hollywood. When it first went on teh air, Climax was done live every week, but as time wore on, filmed (and later taped) productions were added to the mix. Even in its last season, however, there were several live programs presented. Among the plays aired were adaptations of Casino Royale, with Barry Nelson playing an American James Bond; A Farewell to Arms, with Guy Madison and Diana Lynn; and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, with Michael Rennie playing the dual role.
