> Description
Much in the manner of You Bet Your Life, this quiz show was designed more as a vehicle for the comic talents of its emcee than as a straight contest. Herb Shriner, with his country humor and tales of life in Indiana, was the orignal emcee and remained with the show until the spring of 1956. He was spelled during the summers by Walter O'Keefe in 1954 and Sam Levenson in 1955 and 1956. Levenson returned as the full-time emcee when the show returned in the spring of 1957. Three pairs of contestants vied for cash prizes during the actual quiz porton of the show and Dr. Mason Gross, Provost and Professor of Philosophy at Rutgers University, was the authority on correctness of answers.
