Action dramas based on Actual cases from the files of the U.S. Treasury Department and lelecast live. Walter Greaza portrayed the chief of whatever division was involved in each week's case, running to earth such assorted scoundrels as smugglers, counterfeiters, gunrunners, tax evaders (a favorite!), and moonshiners. The program invariably ended with the moral that the government always wins, and thereby received several awards and commendations from official agencies for its public service. Actual government officials sometimes appeared on the show.
The supporting cast varied from week to week, but over teh years included such names as Lee Marvin, Grace Kelly, Jason Robards, Jr., James Dean, Cliff Robertson, Jack Klugman, and Charles Bronson. |
