Following the end of Friends in May 2004, Matt LeBlanc's character Joey Tribbiani packed for L.A. and said goodbye to his friends. We get to meet Joey's sister Gina (played by The Sopranos' Drea De Matteo) and his nephew Michael (Road Trip's Paulo Costanzo). Rounding out the cast is the hysterical Jennifer Coolidge who plays his agent. While Joey was expected to be a major hit, the show became something of a non-event, with ratings considerably sliding as the 2004-2005 season progressed. However, it still fared well enough that NBC didn't hesitate to renew it for a second season. Rumor has it that we're going to see some of our old friends returning in the 2005-2006 season. |
