Stationed at a naval base in San Diego, Lt. Chick Hennessey
was a young medical officer who treated the base personnel
and their families. He worked for crusty Captain Shafer, and
had attractive Martha Hale for an understanding and
romantically interested nurse. The biggest "character"
in the entire medical department was henry Spencer
Blair III, a young naval dentist whose society background
and financial independence grated on all concerned.
Blair was always looking for angles and gimmicks.
