"Checking In" premiered in the spring of 1981 as a spin-off of The Jeffersons, the hit All in the Family spin-off. Florence, the Jeffersons' maid, usually known for her witty comments and arguments with George, leaves her job to work at a hotel. Checking In lasted only four episodes. Florence then returned to The Jeffersons, where it was explained that her hotel had burned down. She remained with the show until its end in 1985.
