Danny Phantom is an animated television series created by Nickelodeon which debuted April of 2004.
The title character, Danny, is a teenager who is half-human and half-ghost, after a lab accident with his father's unpredictable "Fenton Portal," which acts as a portal between the human world and the supernatural world or "Ghost Zone." Butch Hartman (who also created The Fairly OddParents) created the show, and as a result, the style of animation, some of the minor characters, and the sound effects are very similar, the difference being that the plot and story are continuous.
