Farr leaves 'Rescue' for Eye drama 'Numbers'

(Posted August 4, 2005 by Leah Yoakum)

Thesp Diane Farr is switching coasts, leaving the New York-based FX series "Rescue Me" and heading back to L.A., where she's joining CBS' drama "Numbers."

Farr will fill the void on "Numbers" left by the departure of original cast member Sabrina Lloyd.

Farr is signed up to initially star in multiple episodes but is expected to join the show full-time. She'll play Special Agent Megan Reeves, a Quantico grad assigned to the Los Angeles FBI office, where she'll work with Don Eppes (Rob Morrow).

Thesp is wrapping up shooting on the Denis Leary-led "Rescue Me," for which she had signed a one-year deal to play the first female firefighter at the station.
