'Home Edition' Enlists First Lady |

(Posted September 28, 2005 by Leah Yoakum) Laura Bush was scheduled to be in Biloxi, Miss., Tuesday (Sept. 27) to tape a segment of the show. The "Home Edition" crew was set to visit a shelter in the Biloxi area and deliver bedding, clothing and other supplies to people displaced by Hurricane Katrina.
It's unclear what the first lady's role in the show might be, although "Home Edition" executive producer Tom Forman put it this way to the Los Angeles Times: "I think we say, 'Mrs. Bush, the stuff is over here, the people are over there, could you grab the other end of that mattress?'" A November airdate airdate is likely for the episode involving Mrs. Bush. "EM: Home Edition," a top-20 hit last season, began its third season Sunday (Sept. 25) with an episode devoted to renovating the home of an Iraq veteran who lost his leg to a roadside bomb. |
