Bo Bice Misses Tour for Emergency Surgery

The "American Idol" runner-up, who continued to perform despite breaking his foot on stage in July, has missed several "American Idols Live" tour dates because of emergency surgery on Friday, Aug. 19. He was rushed to the hospital the day before just before his Sin City performance. As of late Monday, Bice's official condition has not been divulged, although Bice's message board mentions a "kink" in his intestines. A specialist was reportedly flown to Las Vegas' Desert Springs Hospital to perform the operation, according to MTV. The "Inside Your Heaven" singer hasn't had an easy time on tour. He's been performing in a cast since he broke his foot July 31 after switching from boots to sneakers. At a Texas show Friday, Aug. 13, Bice was felled by food poisoning. He recovered, but four days later, his half brother, John Cohran, and his wife were hospitalized after their car slid under a tractor-trailer on the way home for the Los Angeles show. Both have been released. Thus far, Bice, 29, has missed the Vegas date along with performances in San Jose and Sacramento. It's assumed he won't be present either for the Everett, Washington show on Tuesday, Aug. 23. Source: Zap2it
