Stephen Bochco, from whose mind sprung forth such long-running TV fare as "L.A. Law" and "Hill Street Blues," brings us this fictional take on the currently chaotic state of the world. A U.S. Army unit, consisting mostly of new soldiers, finds itself engaged in a bloody firefight upon arrival in Iraq. Y'know, just in case you don't see enough about the fighting in Iraq on your nightly news or in the papers. According to some reports, the series whitewashes what's going on in the Middle East -- but my suggestion is to check it out for yourself; the producers say they're taking pains to be apolitical and just focus on the soldiers' lives. Erik Palladino ("ER") leads a cast chock full o' newcomers, including Keith Robinson ("Fat Albert") and Lizette Carrion ("The Division").
