James Garner statue planned for Oklahoma theater |

(Posted July 11, 2005 by Leah Yoakum) A10-foot statue of actor James Garner is planned to be put in place in front of a theater in his hometown. Along with the statue, a plaza bearing the actors name will be installed. The plaza would cost about $185,000 and is tentatively planned to open in April. Committee member Roy Hamilton said about two-thirds of the money needed for the project has been raised. Garner has been invited to attend a dedication planned for April 21. |
