Bochco Sets Up Shop at Touchstone |
|
(Posted September 27, 2005 by Leah Yoakum) The "NYPD Blue" and "Over There" co-creator has signed a multi-year production deal with the studio, under which he'll develop series projects. His Steven Bochco Productions is currently at work on three projects -- a comedy and a drama at FOX and a drama for The WB -- which will come with him to Touchstone.
"Steven Bochco's talents in creating groundbreaking, innovative, appointment television are unparalleled," says Mark Pedowitz, president of Touchstone TV. "We look forward to him continuing his amazing track record of critically acclaimed hit series with our team at Touchstone Television." After cutting his teeth on shows like "McMillan and Wife" and "Columbo," Bochco co-created "Hill Street Blues" in 1981, which won four consecutive Emmys for outstanding drama series. His credits also include "L.A. Law," "Philly," "Murder One" and "Doogie Howser, M.D."
Bochco was most recently affiliated with Paramount Network TV, which produced "NYPD Blue" and last season's ABC show "Blind Justice." |
