Prime-Time Nielsen Ratings

Prime-time viewership numbers compiled by Nielsen Media Research for Aug. 29-Sept. 4. Top 20 listings include the week's ranking, with viewership for the week and season-to-date rankings in parentheses. An "X" in parentheses denotes a one-time-only presentation.

Due to a miscalculation at Nielsen, this week's ratings do not include ABC's college football special on Saturday, although it is not expected to be a top 20 show.

1. (X) "Dateline NBC" (Wednesday), NBC, 12.2 million viewers.


2. (6) "CSI: Miami," CBS, 11.6 million viewers.


3. (19) "60 Minutes," CBS, 11.3 million viewers.

4. (36) "Two and a Half Men," CBS, 10.7 million viewers.

5. (X) "Dateline NBC" (Friday), NBC, 10.7 million viewers.

6. (X) "Prison Break," Fox, 10.5 million viewers.

7. (13) "Two and a Half Men," (9 p.m.), CBS, 10.3 million viewers.

8. (21) "NCIS," CBS, 9.4 million viewers.

9. (X) "ABC News Special: In the Path of Katrina," ABC, 9.3 million viewers.

10. (21) "Law & Order," NBC, 9.2 million viewers.

11. (3) "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," CBS, 8.9 million viewers.

12. (41) "CBS Sunday Movie: `Along Came a Spider,'" CBS, 8.7 million viewers.

13. (X) NFL Exhibition: St. Louis at Detroit, ABC, 8.6 million viewers.

14. (X) Auto Racing: California 500, NBC, 8.5 million viewers.
