Primetime Monday Ratings: ABC and CBS Split Leadership

-Ratings Breakdown:
In this holiday Monday of split leadership, College Football (Miami vs. Florida State) led ABC to victory in the overnights and adults 18-49, while repeats on CBS finished first in total viewers. The Miami vs. Florida State football match-up averaged a 6.8/11 in the overnights from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m., with an approximate 9.48 million viewers and a 3.5/ 9 among adults 18-49 in primetime according to the fast affiliate results. Repeats of CBS' The King Of Queens (Overnights: #3, 4.5/ 7; Viewers: #3, 6.72 million; A18-49: #3, 2.2/ 6) and Everybody Loves Raymond (Overnights: #3, 5.3/ 8; Viewers: #3, 7.50 million; A18-49: #3t, 2.5/ 6) were below average in the 8 p.m. hour opposite ABC's aforementioned College Football, and a last-minute edition of NBC's Dateline on Hurricane Katrina (Overnights: #2, 6.4/10; Viewers: #2, 8.17 million; A18-49: #2, 2.6/ 7).

Also on CBS were repeats of Two and a Half Men (two episodes Overnights: #2, 7.4/11; Viewers: #1, 10.79 million; A18-49: #2, 3.6/ 8) and CSI: Miami (Overnights: #1, 8.3/13; Viewers: #1, 11.03 million; A18-49: #1, 3.7/10) from 9-11 p.m.

In week two news, although Fox's Prison Break dipped to a 5.7/ 8 in the overnights (#3), 8.47 million viewers (#3), and a 3.9/ 9 among adults 18-49 (#1), it still finished first in the demo, building from a repeat of lead-in Nanny: 911 (Overnights: #4, 4.0/ 6; Viewers: #4, 5.69 million; A18-49: #4, 2.3/ 7) by a considerable 42 percent in the overnights, 2.78 million viewers and 70 percent among adults 18-49. The two-hour edition of Prison Break debuted with a 7.5/11 in the overnights, 10.51 million viewers and a 4.6/12 among adults 18-49 on Monday, Aug. 29. Based on the overnight ratings, last night's performance declined by 24 percent.


Leading out of Dateline on NBC were repeats of Las Vegas (Overnights: #4, 4.8/ 7; Viewers: #4, 4.89 million; A18-49: #4, 1.5/ 4) and Medium (Overnights: #3, 4.5/ 7; Viewers: #3, 5.17 million; A18-49: #3, 1.8/ 5) from 9-11 p.m.


On the WB, two repeat episodes of 7th Heaven from 8-10 p.m. finished fifth overall in the overnights (2.0/ 3), total viewers (2.28 million), and adults 18-49 (0.8/ 2), tied with UPN in the demo. Repeats of UPN sitcoms One On One (Overnights: #6, 1.6/ 3; Viewers: #6, 1.67 million; A18-49: #6, 0.7/ 2), All Of Us (Overnights: #6, 1.5/ 2; Viewers: #6, 1.77 million; A18-49: #6, 0.8/ 2), Girlfriends (Overnights: #5t, 1.9/ 3; Viewers: #6, 1.99 million; A18-49: #5, 0.9/ 2) and Half & Half (Overnights: #6, 1.5/ 2; Viewers: #6, 1.73 million; A18-49: #6, 0.7/ 2) capped off the evening at typical non-original levels.
