CBS Finds 'Killer,' Wires 'Time Bomb'

(Posted August 17, 2005 by Leah Yoakum)

LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) David Arquette will race to save the football fans of Washington, D.C., in a CBS movie this season, while Robert Forster will star in another Eye project as a detective searching for the BTK serial killer.

Forster ("Jackie Brown," "Karen Sisco") has signed to star in "The Hunt for the BTK Killer," a true-crime story set to air in October. The movie is based on the case of Dennis Rader, the confessed killer of seven people in and around Wichita, Kan., between 1974 and '91. Rader, currently awaiting sentencing for his crimes, dubbed himself "BTK" (Bind, Torture, Kill) in communications with the media during his spree.

In addition to Forster, Michael Michele ("Homicide," "Kevin Hill") and Gregg Henry ("Eyes," "Gilmore Girls") have also joined the cast, the Hollywood trade papers report. Henry will play Rader, while Forster and Michele will play detectives searching for the killer.
