CBS Leads Another Quiet Week |
|
(Posted August 10, 2005 by Leah Yoakum) Amid that bleak landscape, CBS won another week, averaging a 4.9 rating/9 share among households and 7.27 million viewers per night for the week ending Sunday, Aug. 7. NBC finished second with a 4.2/8 and 5.9 million viewers, beating out ABC (3.8/7, 5.6 million) and FOX (3.4/6, 5.19 million). UPN's 1.8/3 and 2.65 million viewers was good for fifth. The WB trailed with a 1.2/2 and 1.78 million viewers.
CBS also led the pack among adults 18-49, the prime target for advertisers, with a 2.4 rating. FOX, aided by a strong finale for "Hell's Kitchen," was right behind at 2.3. ABC's 2.0 beat out NBC's 1.8 for third. UPN averaged 1.0 and The WB 0.7. The week's top five individual shows were all repeats of CBS hits, led by "CSI" with a 9.5/16. "Without a Trace" was second at 8.2/15, followed by "CSI: Miami," "NCIS" and "Two and a Half Men." The same-old, same-old vibe continued with "Law & Order" and "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" tying for sixth at 6.1/10, and a second "L&O" grabbing eighth. |
