FOX Wants Second Helping of 'Hell's Kitchen'

(Posted August 9, 2005 by Leah Yoakum)

LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) Gordon Ramsay will be back to terrorize another set of would-be chefs for FOX.

The network has picked up its cooking-competition series "Hell's Kitchen" for a second season, on the heels of a decent run this summer and strong ratings for last week's two-hour finale.

It was probably the demographic numbers, in fact, that earned the show a pickup. "Hell's Kitchen" averaged a little over 7 million viewers during its run -- decent for summer but hardly earth-shattering. But it was consistently among the top 10 in adults 18-49, which is primarily how FOX measures its success.

There's no word yet on when the show's second season might air. FOX's midseason schedule looks fairly well set at the moment, although a lot could change between now and January.

Casting information for season two of "Hell's Kitchen" will be available at FOX.com.
