Lifetime Pays Large Price for 'Medium' |
|
(Posted November 29, 2005 by Leah Yoakum) The cable network has bought the exclusive basic cable rights to the NBC series, which stars Patricia Arquette as a psychic who uses her abilities to help solve crimes. Arquette won an Emmy earlier this year for the role, based on real-life medium Allison DuBois.
Lifetime will begin airing the show in 2009. Terms of the deal with Paramount, which produces "Medium," weren't disclosed, but reports put the per-episode price at roughly $1.3 million, a fairly high figure for a show without "CSI" or "Law & Order" in the title. |
