LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) Having been devoured by that mysterious thing on "Lost's" island and left spying to the remaining crew on "Alias," Greg Grunberg is giving comedy a shot.
The former "Felicity" star has signed on to an NBC comedy pilot called "Grand Union," in which he'll play a Long Island grocer with an eccentric family. The pilot could be considered for midseason, the showbiz trade papers report.
Beth Lacke ("Mr. 3000") will also star in the pilot, which is being written by David Israel and Jim O'Doherty, veterans of "3rd Rock from the Sun" and "The Tracy Morgan Show." Originally developed at Carsey-Werner, "Grand Union" will now be produced by NBC Universal TV after Carsey-Werner closed up shop earlier this year.
