Cox Saddles Up for 'Deadwood' |
|
(Posted August 31, 2005 by Leah Yoakum) Brian Cox, an Emmy winner whose recent movie credits include "Red Eye" and "Troy," will have a hand in the third season of "Deadwood" next year. He's scheduled to appear in at least seven episodes of the show, which will return to the pay-cable network next year.
He'll play Jack Langrishe, a theater owner and producer who comes to the lawless Deadwood camp with the intent of giving it a little culture, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The Scottish-born actor joins Brit Ian McShane and Northern Ireland native Paula Malcomson as regular cast members from across the pond. His movie credits include "Braveheart," "X2," "Adaptation" and "The Bourne Supremacy." He'll also be seen in Woody Allen's "Match Point" later this year and is currently filming an adaptation of Augusten Burroughs' memoir "Running with Scissors." |
