The former "3rd Rock from the Sun" star will have a recurring part on the long-running NBC series this fall as Eve Peyton, an "inscrutable and unflappable" nurse manager assigned to bring order to her department at County General. The character will also serve as a mentor to Nurse Sam Taggart (Linda Cardellini).

Her first appearance on the show is scheduled for October.
