Sisto, Hutton Join 'Kidnapped' Plot; CBS Finds 'Class' Mate

(Posted December 15, 2005 by Leah Yoakum)

Jeremy Sisto, who wrapped up his role as the troubled Billy Chenowith on "Six Feet Under" earlier this year, will take on a more steadfast character in his next TV work.

The actor has taken the lead role in NBC's pilot "Kidnapped," marking his first regular role in a network series. Timothy Hutton, most recently seen in "Kinsey" and the Sci Fi Channel's "Five Days to Midnight," has also joined the cast.

CBS, meanwhile, has cast British actress in its comedy "Class," which has already earned an episode order for 2006-07.

In "Kidnapped," Sisto will play a private kidnap-retrieval expert who leads the effort to find the abducted son of a wealthy New York couple, the showbiz trade papers report. The show will be a "24"-style thriller, tracking the case from multiple points of view, with Sisto essentially playing the Jack Bauer role. Future seasons of the show would follow his character on different cases.
