When a bubbly new family moves next door, Peter gets annoyed. Lois becomes fast friends with Debbie, Meg tries to pick up on son Kyle and Peter is forced to invite Joe to play on his company baseball team. But when Joe shows up to the game in a wheelchair and wins the crowd's hearts with his slick maneuvers and winning plays, Peter decides he wants to be a hero too.

Peter: Ummmm... Me Love You Long Time?. This is a classic reference from the 1987 film FULL METAL JACKET when this phrase was said by a Da Nang Hooker.

Grinch: You think you have won, you think all is well; but kiss my green ass, I shall see you in hell! The Grinch is character from the Dr. Seuss book How The Grinch Stole Christmas, in which the Grinch tries to steal all the presents from everyone in Whoville.

The Griffin's neighbors Joe & Bonnie are introduced in this episode.

Bloppers - When Joe is unpacking his trophies, he puts the first one on the farthest left side of the shelf. However, he puts the second one to the left of the first one. And when the bingo caller loses his eye, his left eye hits the corner of the table, but he is screaming, holding his right eye.
