She was the "rather frisky Ophelia" in a 1976 performance of "Hamlet" which persuaded Kenneth Branagh there might be something to a life in the theatre. "The only previous event where I'd seen hundreds of people get that excited was at a football match," he said.

Was nominated for Broadway's 1995 Tony Award as Best Actress (Featured Role - Play) for "The Moliere Comedies."
