Biography: Henderson was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was adopted by his step-father and changed his last name to Hultgren. He is the step-grandson of former pastor (now emeritus) Dr. Warren C. Hultgren of First Baptist Church Tulsa. He later changed his last name back to Henderson. He had been living in Texas, but wanted to move back to Tulsa to finish high school with his friends. He graduated from Tulsa Memorial Senior High School in May 2000. He moved to Texas after graduation and auditioned for PopStars 2 in Dallas after his then-girlfriend suggested the opportunity. After being chosen with other singers from Dallas, he was given suggestions not to sing like Justin Timberlake and to find his own voice. Using those suggestions, he was chosen as one of the six PopStars 2 winners. One of the male members left the group before finishing the album. The finished group called themselves Scene23, two guys and three girls.
