Birth Place: Fontana, California, USA
Also Credited as: Blink 182 / The Transplants

Biography: (He's cool) Travis Landon Barker (born November 14, 1975 in Fontana, California, USA) is the drummer for Blink-182, The Transplants, Box Car Racer, and Plus 44. He was also previously the drummer for the Aquabats(as Baron Von Tito), The Vandals and Suicide Machines. Travis began studying drums and taking lessons at the age of four. He studied with a jazz teacher and was exposed to many different styles of music. While in high school, Travis played in the jazz ensemble and marching band. He subsequently gained much experience performing at regional competitions and festivals. His senior year of high school, Travis passed up drum corps tryouts for touring with a rock band. After graduating from Fontana High School in 1993, he gained more experience as a rock drummer in a few early bands. Nowadays Travis has been playing drums for example in some songs of The Black Eyed Peas and Nelly. The Transplants is also on now and has released a new album called Haunted Cities with lots of influences from hip hop and the band's lead singer and guitarist's other band Rancid.

In 1998 Travis joined Blink 182 after their first drummer Scott Raynor was ejected. Some say he was removed due to a drinking problem, others say that he was kicked out of the band for some other unknown reason. His band The Aquabats was supporting and Travis had to learn the whole set (24 songs) in a couple hours. A few months later he was asked to join the band full-time.

"I was 16 and I tattooed my body so I couldn't fall back on anything. I purposely did that so I couldn't get a normal job," Barker said, explaining his large number of tattoos.

Travis' major musical influences include Latin, jazz and hip-hop.

He prefers Orange County Drums and Percussion drums, Zildjian cymbals and drumsticks, and Drum Workshop hardware.

In 2003, he appeared on Punk'd, MTV Version of Candid Camera. He had to fight with Shanna Moakler's ex-fiance Oscar de la Hoya into a gloveless boxing match until Ashton Kutcher called the dangerous match.

In 2005, he starred in his own MTV reality show, Meet the Barkers, with wife Shanna Moakler, whom he married on October 30, 2004. They have one son together, Landon Asher Barker, who was born October 9, 2003. She also has a daughter from her previous relationship with Oscar de la Hoya; Atiana. Travis and Shanna are expecting another child in December 2005.

Travis owns his own accessory/apparel company called Famous Stars And Straps and a record company, LaSalle Records, which the Transplants are signed to.

As of May 31, 2005, Travis is planning to play some gigs at clubs with DJ AM, Nicole Richie's fiance.
