Biography: Jay Baruchel (born in Ottawa, Ontario in 1982) is a Canadian actor who got his start on the local children's series My Hometown then co-hosted Popular Mechanics for Kids. He went on to play minor roles in Almost Famous and The Rules of Attraction. His awkward demeanour and gangly physique won him the lead role in Judd Apatow's lauded yet short-lived series Undeclared. Most recently, he played Danger Barch, a mentally disabled boxing hopeful, in Clint Eastwood's Million Dollar Baby (2004). Jay's name was among those thanked by Eastwood when accepting the Oscar for Best Picture.
Jay currently resides in Montreal, Quebec, where he can be seen speaking fluent French, directing independent films and ducking out of house parties.
