Biography: Jamie Hyneman (born 1956) is the founder of M5 Industries, and the co-host of MythBusters. He is a visual effects expert. A distinctive part of his appearance on the show is his black beret and white lab shirt, which almost never seems to get dirty, no matter how messy the myths tested are. This and his distinctive moustache are an occasional subject for light-hearted jokes by Adam Savage and other team members.
Hyneman has a degree in Russian Language and Literature. He has had a variety of careers, including Scuba Diver, wilderness survival expert, boat captain, linguist, pet shop owner, animal wrangler, machinist and chef. He also spent some time in the Special Forces.
