Being at "Degrassi" gave Barrable-Tishauer much fame, as the program had proven to be popular among Canadian teenagers since 1979, and, when Barrable-Tishauer joined, it was enjoying one of its most popular eras.
"Liberty", the character that she plays in the famed series, is a shy, but tough looking girl who wears glasses and who has a hard time admitting she is in love with a boy from the "Degrassi" school. Nevertheless, Liberty soon gets involved romantically with the boy she likes, J.T. Yorke.
